The FOOD Topic. - strawhat_luffy - 10-08-2007

this topic is for everything food. cooking it, eating it, discussing it, etc.

Tongue I just finished eating an Egg in a Basket, so I guess that's the food I'm gonna show ya how to cook.

Take a piece of bread, and cut a hole in the middle of it. something like a small cup works wonders.

now, take a piece of butter, and melt it in a skillet over an oven at a low setting.

once the butter is melted, drop the piece of bread and the piece that you cut out earlier.

now, break an egg into the hole of the bread, and wait for it to cook for a little while.

now, once the bottom has cooked, put a spatula under it and flip it.

:S I can guarentee disaster the first few times you try this.

now, with it flipped, wait for it to cook for a little while again.

you can either break the yolk now, or leave it.

Tongue personally, I liked scrambled eggs better, so I break it.

flip it again, and repeat for a little while.

once the bread looks good and brown and your egg isn't leaking (unless you like it that way), take it out. the other part too. Tongue hopefully you flipped it as well.

now, just put a little salt on it, maybe jelly or something if you want, and you're done.

thanks for reading lawlz.

RE: The FOOD Topic. - wanzerfreak - 10-08-2007

i can't eat when the sun is up for more than three weeks

RE: The FOOD Topic. - Grim - 10-08-2007

Holy shit it's wanzer! Ninja

I know what you just ate luffy, I just watched V make it a couple of hours ago lolz.

Personally, I like my eggs scrambled too. With a bit of pepper in them aside from the salt. Makes for an egg with a kick.

There's already another topic like this, but seeing as how we have all this bandwidth and the fact that I encourage lots of new topics (but not too much) I'll let it slide.

Oh yeah: burgers FTW.

101 Simple Meals in 10 Minutes or Less: From the NY Times

Anyway. I think I can eat a lot. Once, I went to an all you can eat sushi place and ate 28 plates. Once, I went to an Italian place and ate a whole pizza, pasta and salad for two people. Normally people say I eat food for 5 people if they treat me. I really should go on a diet, I think. It's a bad habit. If I didn't have fast metabolism I'd probably be about 300 pounds by now.

And yes, burgers FTW. Luffy, we can get 4 burgers from McDonalds here for about $2 LOL

I LOVE Japanese curry. Can't get enough of it. I could drink the stuff as if it were water.

I also LOVE bell peppers. Green, red, yellow, I DON'T CARE. I love them all!

I also dig sushi. I can't wait to taste a high-grade fatty tuna sushi in an authentic sushi bar in japan. >_<

I also love various breads, delis, and gourmet goods.

RE: The FOOD Topic. - strawhat_luffy - 10-09-2007

lol. here it's 1 double cheeseburger for $1 I think.

although that's not enough to fill me <_<

Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese for McD's
or
Quadruple Stacker from BK. LOL

and lol @ watching V make one. I found out how to make Egg in a Basket from a Gfaqs topic asking how to make one cause they saw it in V for Vendetta..

to think, I learned how to cook from a gaming web site.

Hahah try not to eat so much (even though you can). You're still young and all but you gotta watch out and not be another fat American. Tongue (No offense intended. >_<)

What I really miss are Carl's Jr. burgers. I like their's the most among them burger joints. I especially like the Western Bacon Cheeseburger. Too bad they went out of business here in the Phlippines. You see over here, McDonald's and BK can sell their burgers pretty cheap because they're not as big as they are in the U.S.

The Carl's Jr. here though tried to be a bit more faithful to the original. Their Burgers where big and much tastier than any other burger joint. Unfortunately, they sold their burgers for twice the price of McDonald's, which is kinda beyond the typical Filipino budget for a hamburger. Hence, they died. -_-

And since you're on the East side, you probably haven't tried In n Out Burgers. They're really good! They taste almost home made.

RE: The FOOD Topic. - Goat - 10-09-2007

PIZZA and BURGER. The only pleasure in my life when it comes to food.

RE: The FOOD Topic. - Serene - 10-10-2007

I eat anything as long as they don't walk upstraight, talk and look human. Squids and Shrimps are no-nos as well.
Vegetables are what I crave for most with bittermelons at the top of the list.

But what I like most is is my mom's Curry Carbonara and spaghetti.

none taken. although, I'm a bit on the overweight side (5' 9"-10" and 160-175 pounds), I'm trying to lose weight now.

I'll probably end up being physically unfit later in life though. >_< everyone in my family is overweight. badly.

tried one when I stayed the summer in Cali.

they are made of heaven, win, and, like you said, home made goodness.
