Interesting find there. I tried looking for more info, but all I found was a dead end. The website for the show/concept is dead, and I can't seem to find more than this:
The full name seems to be Combat Armor Steel Wings.
EDIT: Seems like they were planning on expanding this thing. Check out a one shot manga based on this franchise:

A lot of the stuff could easily be mistaken for original AC material, not too knock-off-ish like Astro Plan.
