I'm not gonna rule that out, ACV and VD had those IIRC. But maybe there'd be a way to make the whole coop mission replayable somehow. Or like Ace Combat Infinity's competitive coop mode.

Wait for the modders to make a coop campaign.

RE: Armored Core 6 Speculations - Zefyr - 01-08-2023

They managed to do it for Skyrim, surely they can do it for something that might have native co-op in other aspects of the game

Welp, the dust has settled and the announcement is basically the IGN interview all over again. At least they said to look forward to more details in the coming days.

Funny that they also said to scrutinize the trailer for more hints, so I saw this on reddit a week ago, and we might be getting back mounted energy shields.

Man it feels weird to be back here, but I was beyond happy to see AC6 announced and a ton of community content coming from every where since then.

Seems to be a mix of AC2-LR designs, a bit of gameplay from 4 but not as fast, and some dashes of 4 and 5 elements mixed in.

RE: Armored Core 6 Speculations - ZaruForever - 06-09-2023

Do you think they will show some more details this week?

More details than what we already know, I'm not too sure. At the moment all I've seen are just mentions of AC6 and that it would be there - but no new videos or tidbits yet. So we'll have to wait and see.

If you guys haven't seen it yet, there's been a new release of gameplay footage and reactions from media. I also did an AMA as I was at the ACVI at Summer Game Fest.

Bonus: Got to take a pictures with Yasunori Ogura!

RE: Armored Core 6 Speculations - Griffon - 06-15-2023

I'm really liking what I've been seeing. The speed of the game seems more how I like, and not the crazy ZoE speeds that fA had. I'm also glad to see that flight under your own power is still absolutely a thing, after seeing the jump pad in the first gameplay reveal, I was worried that they'd stick with AC5s style of not really being able to fly.
Apparently each of he shoulder buttons are mapped to your 4 weapons, so you can supposedly be able to fire all 4 at once? What's everyone's thoughts on that? That and a souls-style hard-lock-n function will certainly change how several aspects of the game are played. I'm curious to see if that change will be for the better concerning PVP.

I immediately thought of doing a 4 hit combo, honestly. There's bound to be weapons that will be made to pair with each other, and with a stagger mechanic involved, having a primer and payoff weapon (or three) sounds fun.

I like the speed too. To me it's just the right amount of zip and dash while having heft and gravity.

I agree. I was thinking about it at work, and I had this theory-crafted AC in my head for the past few years just hoping for an eventual new AC game (based on what I felt reasonable to expect based on the old games, but also acknowledging that whatever the next game had in store could throw everything out the window), but this all-weapons-active thing has certainly given me more to think about.

Also, what does everyone think the quadruped niche is going to be in this game, it certainly seems to move around, doesn't it? In the classic games it was the ability to use artillery without kneeling, in 4th gen it was their insane ground speed gave them unparalleled range control, and from what I remember in AC5 they were used a lot for their aerial hangtime. It almost seems like they're headed that way again maybe? The 2nd trailer shows a biped firing a back cannon while flying, so that's not exclusive to leg types anymore, and it shows that quad flying and entering some strange hover mode. Are they really turning quads from legs that emphasized ground movement into an aerial type?
