Colonel Badass field demonstration part 1
#22
i was curious for the lulz and wtf and Facepalm so i went to the forum and found: *********WALL OF TEXT ALERT**********

Quote: The first time after I woke up the next day after watching it I "had" to see it again. I have seen it four times now, and soon to be a fifth. I think watching it takes away that depression, because when I am watching it, i dont know how to describe how I feel, but it feels good. I want to just forget about it all sometimes, take down my avatar wallpaper, stop reading about it and what not, but I just cant.
I have to use a quote from the movie sometimes I guess "Sooner or later though, you always have to wake up."
I heard writing a sequel helps, but I just cant compete with what has been laid out.

I dont know if theres any WoW addicts out there, but after seeign Avatar I have lost all desire to play (and trust me thats like being addicted to any drug)
I'm just hoping it will pass over time, but if anybody has any recommendations how to cope I would love to hear them.

WTF, this dude is totally confused...
I was curious on the other ways but it's good that there are constructive suggestions like....

Quote: Start living like Neytiri: in touch with nature, the environment, and not being greedy and wasteful. Pass on the burger, for something more healthy for you and less cruel to animals. Spend your time on this forum, or volunteering in your free time, instead of getting high or drinking, twiddling your thumbs, being apathetic and complaining about how bad the world is. Don't get swept away by the wave of negativity, live your dream. Your life has only two switches, to shine or not to shine. There is no "apathy" setting. If you're on apathy setting you might as well sign your world away to destruction. When you get discouraged by everyone around you, be courageous like Jake, and jump on the leonopteryx. Be the change you want to see in your world. There are only so many people on this earth, the more of them that are doing positive things, the less of them that are out there doing negative things. It's unfortunate that we live in a world where, just by pulling a trigger or making a corporate decision, one single greedy human being can wipe out the hard works of love of many people. But this is why we need to stop focusing on money and start focusing on our environment. Because we have the intelligence to kill ourselves, but not the wisdom to stop it. What will our money buy, when everything that is worth having is destroyed? The only way you can fill the emptiness you feel after this movie, is to jump on the leonopteryx.

also another intesting wall of text:

Yes, Elequin. It is very difficult to simply be good in this world, and just hope for the best. The only reason it is so easy to be that way on Pandora is because of the tsahaylu that Eywa provides to all creatures. (And even there you still have to watch out for the viperwolves. Even there jealousy and anger and death exists). Here on Earth we are not so lucky. "Tsahaylu" represents what we all dream of, when we truly dream. It is easy to be derided and ridiculed for being a dreamer in our world, when we look at how bad things are around us. But in the end, I feel that the reality of this world is alot simply how you look at it. If this world was 100% horrible, and without hope, if we ever stopped trying to live out our dreams, think about how much drearier this world would be. All parents would abandon their children, nobody would have any friends, people would stop painting, composing and writing, everyone would be cynical and hateful to each other to a degree even worse than what it is in reality. No alliances, no matter how self-serving, would even be possible. No we do not live in a world where tsahaylu is granted to us as a birthright by Eywa. Instead we live in a world that is in a precarious balance between conflict and harmony, and it is up to each and everyone of us to seek out tsahaylu, by how we act and where we devote our energies, each day, day in and day out. But it is not enough to be good, you must also be smart. You can be the most loving parent in the world to your child, but if you don't educate yourself on nutrition, you could be killing your child from an early age by feeding them Twinkies everyday. Or you can seek to feed the homeless, and if you don't provide a way for them to give back, you create a cycle of dependence and free riding. The examples could be endless.

Hmmmm interesting, looking forward to getting herbed up and watching this on HD later.

Edit:
I assume most part of the movie will take place in Pandora right? I just wonder WTF they need the money for? How the fuck do you not put any alien herbs in the movie......military and drugs whether pharmaceutical shit or natural....kinda like the Iraq war with morphine and cannabis mixed into the picture.....soldiers do get exposed to those drugs and obviously has some effect in their consciousness as well....

kinda wished they put a better interface in controlling mechs.....WHERE ARE THE CYBORGS? No human modifications? even a cyborg arm or leg? how about RED CYBORG EYES??? how far is pandora from earth in that movie/ how did Earth become a space exploring civilization without destroying the planet....

How come the military don't use jetpacks???? What fuel are they using? =O

i dunno....i still have more questions........but i am just loliing @ how they just pop in my head as i am watching....ok back to watching...enough ramblings. =D
